Elías Okón Gurvich es licenciado en Física por la Universidad de Austin, Texas, y maestro y doctor en Física por la Facultad de Ciencias de la UNAM. Es investigador titular A de tiempo completo del Instituto de Investigaciones Filosóficas de la UNAM y miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores nivel I. Sus principales líneas de investigación comprenden cuestiones fundacionales en la física, mecánica cuántica, espaciotiempo y temas generales de metafísica y filosofía de la ciencia. Cuenta con más de 20 artíulos publicados en revistas especializadas, además de varias colaboraciones con capítulos en libros colectivos.
